Intended learning outcomes

This course unit is intended that students develop laboratory activities within the knowledge acquired in the course units of Food Technology, Biotechnology of stem cells and Advanced Methods of Analysis. Students should also obtain competencies in computational tools for bioprocesses simulation.

After approval in this course, students will be able to:

  1. Acquainted with the several techniques and equipment used in Biological Engineering processes, as well as develop the literature review capability for the previous to collecting the necessary information for planning the proposed experimental work;
  2. Research, innovate, design and carry out experiments to evaluate and solve problems under the Biological Engineering / Biotechnology and related areas;
  3. Interpret data and results, compare with the literature and draw conclusions;
  4. Demonstrate good laboratory practices and awareness of security issues in research and engineering practice.
